Position Title: IT Application Support Analyst
Department: Information Technology
Location: Toronto
Status: Fixed-term, full-time 12 months (Hybrid)
Reporting to the Director, Business Systems Development, the Application Support Analyst will take primary responsibility for front-line support, operations, and maintenance of CIRO’s business-specific application systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain CIRO’s business-specific applications by deploying application updates, security patches, and configuration changes as required.
- Review and resolve support incidents referred to the Business Systems Development team by CIRO’s support desk.
- Provide IT services to internal and external customers, such as file imports and ad-hoc query/report generation
- Complete daily and weekly operational tasks, such as checking the status of backup jobs and reviewing error reports
- Conduct monthly post-patch testing of servers and applications
- Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities in applications and the underlying platform components
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- A university degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related field of study.
- Some experience with SQL Server Integration Services for data import tasks is desirable.
- Extensive experience with relational database, SQL coding, and MS SQL server is required.
- Understanding of platform components (IIS, SQL Server, Windows operating systems) including common system administration tasks, is required.
- Prior experience with any service desk ticketing system is an asset.
