Treatment approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy such as Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Job Description:
We are looking for enthusiastic social workers with experience providing care to adults, adolescents and/or children with a range of clinical needs including PTSD, depression and anxiety, to join our team.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Master of Social Work degree from an accredited school of social work
- Registration and Good Standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (required)
- Ability to build strong, collaborative and empathic therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Experience in providing evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, EFT, DBT, trauma- focused therapy)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with adult clients in clinical settings is an asset
- Interest in working with first responders, veterans and military personnel is an asset
- Experience with electronic patient management systems is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients’ history, needs, values and goals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, EFT, DBT, trauma-focused therapy) tailored to each client’s needs and goals
- Attend periodic meetings to consult about client care, support excellence, and support clinical and professional development
- Periodically collaborate with community partners (e.g., WSIB Case Managers)
- Maintain clinical documentation (reports, notes)
