The Regional Diversity Roundtable (RDR), a federally incorporated charitable not-for-profit located in Peel Region, is committed to institutionalizing and advancing anti-racism, anti-oppression, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ARAO-DEI) in member organizations, the human services sector, and the community. RDR is seeking a student Fundraiser to support the implementation of RDR’s fundraising efforts. This initiative will focus on stabilizing the organization for long-term sustainability by improving and increasing its ability to access financial resources and developing new and/or alternative sources of revenue.
Responsibilities:
● Under the leadership of the Executive Director and designated staff, the Fundraiser will:
● Help develop and implement fundraising pathways.
● Assist in creating individual, sponsored, and corporate donation-seeking packages and campaigns.
● Explore and document diverse fundraising opportunities.
● Research revenue streams including grant opportunities.
● Support the development of signature fundraising events focused on the organizational ARAO-DEI mandate. ● Collaborate with the project team, stakeholders, and partners to advance fundraising.
● Develop fundraising action plans for long-term sustainability.
● Coordinate with other RDR activities, events, and staff.
● Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
The Fundraiser will be an energetic, results-oriented, self-starter with the following qualifications:
● A sound understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles/practices in the human services sector.
● Should be enrolled in a Diploma or Graduation in a relevant program, e.g., Social Sciences, Humanities, Business, Sustainability, Policy Development.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, technology, and collaboration skills.
● Experienced in relationship management, community outreach, establishing funder networks, and donor connections.
● A critical thinker, sound researcher, and a flexible doer.
● Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
Pay: Commensurate with student rates + MERC
