We are actively seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to join our youth justice live-in treatment program as Awake Overnight Youth Workers.
This person will work awake overnight shifts from Sunday night ending Friday morning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct, quality care and supervision to youth in a residential environment.
- Ensure the safety and security of the residents in the facility.
- Complete reports and documentation as needed.
- Participate in the daily operation of the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University or College degree/diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year relevant experience working with youth, preferably in a residential setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of the complex issues and challenges facing our clients.
- Appreciation of the importance of engaging youth and families from a strengths-based relationship based approach
- Sensitivity to and ability to work with a diverse client and staff group.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
- Good administrative and computer skills.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Valid “Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour” certification.
- Valid “First Aid/CPR” certification.
- Completion of required suicide prevention and intervention training.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 with a Health Canada approved vaccination series.
This is a collective bargaining unit position within CUPE Local 3501A.

- Do you have a university or college degree/diploma in Child & Youth Care or a Bachelor of Social Work? This is a MANDATORY requirement in order to be considered for a position. Applicants without this education will not be eligible for the position.
