Position Overview:
As a Field Engineer/ Coordinator, you will be expected to be a job-site leader in health and safety, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner. Reporting to a Project Engineer or Project Manager, your main functions will include contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and project reporting.

Location :
This position can be based out of one of our construction project sites within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) candidate must be able to commute to any of these locations.
Responsibilities & Duties - Field Engineering:

- Team Player, with Proven Ability to provide Leadership in the Field, Organize Crews, Subcontractors, Prioritize Equipment and Material Deliveries and Ensure that ALL Tydon Health and Safety Polices and Procedures are upheld at ALL TIMES.
- Must be punctual and we able to work in all weather conditions, typical to the GTA. Will be required to work outdoors for long periods.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for Tydon Field Crews and Sub- Contractors.
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
- Assist in the preparation of Crew work plans and Sub-Contractor work packages.
- Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data.
- Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets.
- Assist in the preparation of Daily, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s), Hot Permits, Confined Space Work Permits.
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training.
- Order and schedule material deliveries.
- Supervise field operations, Work productively during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
- Perform accurate material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations.
- Create Workplans, Method Statements and presentations as required to detail and provide high level understanding of executing work. Complete and Issue Requests for information (RFIs), and Technical Memorandums.
- Assist in preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested.
- Complete weekly project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, Site photographs, and Weekly Inspections.
- Assist with entering data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management.
Other Requirements:
- B Eng Hons or Bsc Hons in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with 1 to 5 years of On-site Experience.
- Clean Class G Driving Licence.
- Have a Strong Understanding of the Health and Safety O. Regs 213-91, Canadian Building Codes.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail, and Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with Head Office Staff, Supervisors, and Employees.

Pay: $74,250.00-$115,000.00 per year
