Addiction Rehab Toronto is a 24-hour residential facility located in Etobicoke, Toronto, for addictions and mental health. Our services include individual counselling, group counselling, detox, long term and acute care and aftercare plan. Our team consists of highly trained professionals who provide a holistic approach to treatment and recovery.

We are seeking a part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) who can provide exemplary care to our clients following practice standards. The nurse will liaise with other clinical staff, physicans and administrators to ensure the safe and effective delivery of our services.

Minimum 2 days a week ( 12 hour shifts), flexible hours required.

MANDATORY: Must have experience or interest in Addictions and Mental Health!

Recognized Canadian Nursing Diploma is a must!

Qualifications:
-English speaking/excellent command of the English language written and verbal
-Minimum of 1-year experience in the field (experience with addictions and substance use is preferred but not required)
-Ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team
-Demonstrates effective decision making in crises
-Critical thinking skills is an asset

Demonstrates vital customer service and interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communications skills

Responsibilities include:
-Direct Contact with our physicians for results and follow-ups
-Administering medications and updating prescriptions
-Completing CIWA and RASS assessments
-Checking and monitoring vitals
-Alcohol and Drug testing clients regularly
-Monitoring clients on an hourly basis throughout the shift.
-CPR training
-Provide information to assist the team in making informed decisions regarding medications and treatment goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

12 hour shift
Weekends only
