What you will do:
- Safely and efficiently handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders or other documentation, including the use of cubiscan
- Organize and store materials in designated areas to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
- Pick and pack customer orders; conventionally and via AutoStore Goods-To-Person automation
- Prepare and package items for shipping, ensuring proper labelling and documentation, including make-to-size on demand carton packaging
- Utilize appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, reach truck, clamp trucks or pallet jacks, to move materials
- Utilize appropriate equipment for order selection such as RF scanners, voice picking
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill and prioritize material requests
- Maintain inventory accuracy by assisting in periodic inventory counts
- Identify and report any issues with inventory, such as damaged or expired items
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping and safety procedures or guidelines while performing all duties
- Operate computer systems and software to track inventory, shipments, and perform data entry tasks as needed
- Participate or assist with associate training/ mentoring
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned
What will you bring:
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience
- Basic computer skills. Knowledge or experience with a warehouse management system would be an asset
- Knowledge of industry products would be an asset
- Dependable and reliable. Ability to take ownership and initiative.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communications skills
- High level of commitment to exceptional customer service
- Able to lift a up to fifty (50lbs) pounds regularly
