Our Barrie Centre is looking for a passionate part-time tutors who can tutor Math, Chemistry, & Physics (grades 9 - 12).

Qualifications:

Certified teacher, or a University degree in the subject matter. Student teachers may qualify.
Be available to tutor at least 2 days per week. Academy tutoring hours are Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-7:30pm, and Saturdays 10:00am-12:30pm.
Longer term tutoring commitment is preferred.
Competitive remuneration.
Must have reliable transportation to work.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-three tutoring sessions in Math, Chemistry and/or Physics to high school students, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
Be quick on your feet and able to adapt in a fast-paced educational environment.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance understanding and build student confidence.
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment, encouraging student participation and motivation.
Collaborate with administrators to support student development and address any learning challenges.
Utilize computer skills to enhance teaching methods and track student performance.
